Wie is de kunstenaar ?

Luc Herman Peeters was born in Tienen on the 9th of April. He initiated his artistic studies at the University of Applied Sciences and Art of Antwerp, subsequently pursuing further education at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels.

In between 1975 and 1979 he was selected for various contests and prestigious prices, such as :

  • 1975 Selection Pro Civitate – Passage 44, Brussels ;
  • 1975 Selection Jeune Peinture Belge – BOZAR (Fine-Arts-Museum) , Brussels ;
  • 1976 Selection CLSB – Art painting , De Haan;
  • 1977 Selection Louis Schmidt price , Etterbeek (Brussels) ;
  • 1977 Selection Jeune Peinture Belge – BOZAR (Fine-Arts-Museum) , Brussels ;
  • 1977 Selection Jeune Sculpture Belge – BOZAR (Fine-Arts-Museum) , Brussels ;
  • 1979 Selection International price for Paintings – Scharpoord , Knokke-Heist ;

After that period , he went “out of the spotlights” to dedicate his life fully to his art and his development as an artist, without compromises towards contests, selections for expo’s etc…

Fascinated by the graphical and geometrical side of life , he more & more found his own signature style …
